Who Can Trade Your MyFundedPerps Account: Sharing, Devices, VPNs, and the One-Login Rule

About This Blog

The MyFundedPerps account sharing rules come down to one sentence: the person who registered and passed identity verification must be the person making every trading decision on the account. Everything else, devices, VPNs, copy trading, automation, is a consequence of that principle. This article walks through each rule exactly as documented so there is no ambiguity about where the lines are.

If you are new to the platform rules generally, our myfundedperps-rules-explained article covers the full framework.

The MyFundedPerps account sharing rules at their core

Your MyFundedPerps account is personal to you. The individual who completes registration and identity verification must be the one controlling the account and making the trading decisions. The prohibited list is explicit. You may not:

  • Give another person access to your account.
  • Allow another person to place trades for you.
  • Have a friend, family member, employee, mentor, signal provider, account manager, or third-party trader operate your account.
  • Sell, rent, lease, lend, transfer, or otherwise provide your account to another person.
  • Purchase or operate an account on behalf of another individual.
  • Complete an evaluation for another person.
  • Pay someone to pass an evaluation or trade a funded account for you.
  • Participate in an account-passing or account-management service.

MyFundedPerps may request additional verification when activity suggests an account may be controlled by someone other than the verified trader. The platform is designed to evaluate the trading ability and risk management of the individual who purchased and verified the account, and enforcement follows from that design goal.

One personal login, multiple accounts

The one-login rule is where traders most often get confused. You must use one personal login, but you may manage multiple eligible challenge accounts within it. That means:

  • One trader, one login. Creating duplicate accounts or identities to circumvent restrictions is prohibited.
  • Many accounts under that login are fine. You can hold several evaluations and funded accounts, subject to the allocation caps ($300,000 total funded allocation, $100,000 per model type; failed, closed, and archived accounts do not count). See myfundedperps-account-limits for the full breakdown.
  • Managing several of your own accounts through your login is fundamentally different from sharing one account between people.

Devices, IPs, and what gets reviewed

Accounts should ordinarily be accessed from devices and networks controlled by the verified account holder. Using the same device to operate accounts belonging to multiple people may trigger additional review and may be prohibited outright where it prevents MyFundedPerps from determining who actually controls an account.

You may not intentionally disguise, manipulate, or falsify device, browser, network, or location information to avoid security, compliance, or risk controls. In practice, trading from your own phone, home machine, and office connection is unremarkable. Patterns that obscure who is trading are what draw scrutiny.

VPNs, proxies, and location masking

VPNs, proxies, remote-access tools, anonymization services, and location spoofing may not be used to disguise the identity or physical location of the trader, circumvent geographic restrictions, bypass security controls, or make an account appear to be operated by someone else. MyFundedPerps may restrict or review access involving VPNs, hosting providers, datacenter IP addresses, residential proxies, remote desktops, virtual machines, or similar infrastructure that obscures the true origin of activity.

The geographic angle matters because 30 countries and regions are currently restricted, while the United States itself is not restricted. Users from restricted jurisdictions may not purchase challenges, operate accounts, trade, receive funding, or request payouts, and attempting to bypass restrictions through VPNs, proxies, location spoofing, identity sharing, or third-party payment methods can result in immediate account closure, loss of payout eligibility, and permanent restriction. If you are unsure whether your country of residence is supported, contact support before purchasing.

Never share credentials

Account credentials must remain under your exclusive control. Sharing usernames, passwords, authentication codes, sessions, API credentials, or authentication tokens is prohibited, and you are responsible for credential security. The platform supports passkeys and two-factor authentication; use them. Support will never ask for your password or authentication codes.

The legitimate ways to scale: copy trading and the API

The rules prohibit other people trading your account, not you trading efficiently across your own accounts. Two sanctioned tools exist:

Built-in copy trading. The Copy Trading settings let you create lead-and-follower groups from eligible active challenge accounts owned by your personal login. Followers undergo independent collateral and rule checks, so their fills and results can differ, and manual follower trading is locked while copying or stop cleanup is active. Cross-account hedging, opening offsetting positions across accounts to reduce economic risk, remains prohibited, whether between your own accounts, evaluation and funded accounts, or accounts belonging to different people.

The documented public API. Automated trading is allowed only through the documented MyFundedPerps API. Internal website APIs, including endpoints visible in browser developer tools, are off-limits. Automation does not exempt you from any rule: HFT, latency arbitrage, quote stuffing, spoofing, wash trading, group hedging, account cycling, and bug exploitation are all prohibited whether done by hand or by bot.

Violations can lead to trades being removed, profits adjusted, payouts denied, accounts breached or terminated, and, in serious or repeated cases, permanent restriction from MyFundedPerps.

Frequently asked questions

Can my spouse or friend trade on my MyFundedPerps account?

No. Account sharing rules prohibit anyone other than the verified account holder from placing trades or controlling the account, including friends, family, mentors, and account managers.

Can I use a VPN for general privacy while trading?

VPNs and similar tools may not be used to disguise your identity or location, bypass geographic restrictions, or obscure the origin of account activity. Access involving VPNs, datacenter IPs, residential proxies, or remote desktops may be restricted or reviewed.

Can I have more than one MyFundedPerps account?

You may hold multiple challenge accounts under one personal login. Creating duplicate logins or identities to circumvent restrictions is prohibited.

Is copy trading between my own accounts allowed?

Yes, through the built-in lead-and-follower Copy Trading feature on accounts owned by your login. Cross-account hedging and coordinated trading between different individuals remain prohibited.

What happens if MyFundedPerps suspects someone else is trading my account?

The platform may request additional verification. Confirmed violations can result in removed profits, denied payouts, account termination, and permanent restriction.
