Reading the MyFundedPerps Dashboard: Equity, Realized Balance, and Your Loss Floors

About This Blog

This MyFundedPerps dashboard guide covers the three numbers that decide whether your account lives or dies: equity, realized balance, and the two loss floors derived from them. Most failed accounts are not lost to bad strategy; they are lost to misreading which number a rule actually uses. The dashboard shows you everything, but only if you know what each figure means.

For the full drawdown mechanics, pair this with our myfundedperps-static-drawdown article.

MyFundedPerps dashboard guide rule one: pick the right account

Every evaluation account keeps its own balance, positions, orders, progress, and rule history. Before placing any order, use the account switcher on the dashboard or the trading workspace and confirm three things: the account number, the evaluation stage, and the active status. Rules are evaluated per account, and a moment of inattention can put a trade on the wrong one.

One technical habit worth building: refresh a stale browser tab before relying on the status it shows. The server evaluates the rules. An old tab can display an outdated account state, and the server's verdict is the only one that counts.

Equity vs realized balance: the distinction that runs everything

All rule percentages at MyFundedPerps are based on the starting balance, never current equity. But the rules split into two families based on which balance they measure:

Realized balance only moves when trades close and settle. Equity is your live account value including open-position profit or loss. The practical consequence: a big open winner does not move you closer to passing until it closes, because the target uses realized balance. The dashboard's Pass Progress card will tell you when profit still needs to settle before a passing condition is complete. And the same open winner absolutely counts toward your loss floors, because loss limits use equity.

The daily loss floor

The daily loss allowance is 3% of starting balance, measured from the account's start-of-day equity including open P/L. The trading day resets at midnight New York time (04:00 UTC during Eastern Daylight Time, 05:00 UTC during Eastern Standard Time, following daylight saving changes).

A worked example on a $100,000 account: the daily allowance is $3,000. If start-of-day equity is $102,000, that day's loss floor is $99,000. Reaching or falling below the daily loss floor fails the account, and a new day does not reopen a failed one. Note the subtlety: because the reference is start-of-day equity, a profitable prior day gives you more absolute room, while the dollar allowance itself never changes.

The static max loss floor

The maximum loss limit (MLL) is starting balance minus the plan's drawdown allowance. It is static: it does not trail intraday or end-of-day profit highs. Initial floors on a $100,000 account:

Grow a $100,000 Prime account to $110,000 and the floor stays at $95,000. The one event that moves it is the first funded withdrawal: at that point the floor locks permanently to exactly the starting balance, forever. After the lock, equity exactly at $100,000 is allowed, but $99,999 breaches. Later withdrawals never move it again. The daily loss limit continues to apply alongside it.

This is why the payout preview matters. Before confirming a withdrawal it shows Balance After Payout, Max Loss Floor After Payout, and Loss Buffer After Payout, blocks submission if the projected balance would fall below the locked floor, and warns when you would be left with zero buffer. Our myfundedperps-payouts-guide article explains the full flow.

The Pass Progress card and its statuses

The dashboard's Pass Progress card combines every requirement for the selected account: one profit target, the 3% daily loss limit, the static maximum drawdown, and the inactivity rule. Each requirement is marked as clear, partial, pending, warning, or failed. Two disciplines apply here:

  • Reaching the profit target does not cancel the loss limits. Keep every requirement clear until the account is recorded as Passed.
  • Open profit affects live equity and rule headroom but not the realized target, so a card can show progress and headroom moving in opposite directions at once.

The rule card also shows the inactivity countdown: the time left until the 30-Day Inactivity Rule would fail the evaluation, plus the exact fail deadline. Any executed trade restarts it. Funded accounts carry a stricter 7-day requirement.

When the account passes

When the requirements complete, the account changes to Passed and stops accepting new trades. The dashboard shows the result, any available pass certificate, and the next action. Your first qualifying real evaluation pass also earns a one-time 15,000 FP bonus automatically; older passes do not block a bonus you have never received, and already-awarded bonuses are not repeated. Retired Beta evaluations and Beta Blitz do not qualify.

From there, the funding path continues: Sumsub identity verification, the customer agreement e-signature, and then the separate funded account. If the account changes to Failed instead, the failure reason and account history are the starting point, and support can review results you believe are incorrect. Our how-to-pass-myfundedperps-evaluation article covers the pass side in depth.

Frequently asked questions

Which number does the profit target use on the MyFundedPerps dashboard?

The profit target uses realized balance. Open profit does not count until the position closes and settles, even though it raises live equity.

Does open profit protect me from the loss floors?

Yes, because loss limits use equity including open P/L. But it works both ways: an open loser can breach a floor even if your closed trades are profitable.

Why did my daily loss allowance seem larger after a good day?

The dollar allowance is always 3% of starting balance, but the floor is measured down from start-of-day equity. Higher start-of-day equity means a higher floor in absolute terms.

Does the max loss floor ever move up with profits?

No. The static MLL never trails profit highs. It only moves once, locking to the starting balance on your first funded withdrawal, and never again after that.

My dashboard looks outdated. Which status is real?

The server evaluates the rules. Refresh a stale tab before acting on what it shows, and treat the server-side account status as authoritative.
