One Account, Five Asset Classes: Building a Multi-Market Perp Routine
Multi asset prop trading usually means juggling brokers, platforms, and margin rules. On MyFundedPerps it means one challenge account with 130 perpetual markets at launch across five asset classes: crypto, stocks, indices, forex, and commodities. Everything trades as a perpetual contract, everything settles against the same simulated balance, and the same 3% daily loss limit and static drawdown govern all of it. That setup changes how you should structure a trading week. This article walks through what is actually available, what each class costs to trade, and how to build a routine that uses the breadth without blowing the risk budget.
All leverage and exposure cap figures below are as of launch day, September 2026, and may have changed since. The live list is at myfundedperpetuals.com/exposure-caps, and the market-by-market breakdown is in our myfundedperps-markets-guide.
The five asset classes at a glance
Market data comes from Hyperliquid, Binance, Bybit, and Lighter, with the initial EUR/USD and USD/JPY pairs running on Lighter. Crypto trades around the clock. Stocks, indices, and commodities can have scheduled market closures, and swap charges continue through closures at the latest valid closing mark. Forex on Lighter trades around the clock subject to venue availability and fresh market data.
Why multi asset prop trading fits the perpetual format
The practical advantage of one perpetual account over separate brokerage accounts is not convenience, it is risk accounting. On MyFundedPerps, your 3% daily loss allowance and your static max loss floor are computed on the whole account's equity, including open P/L across every class. You cannot hide a bad crypto session inside a good NAS100 session; the account sees one number. That sounds harsh, but it forces honest position sizing, and it also means a diversified book genuinely reduces account-level volatility instead of just spreading it across statements.
The second advantage is capital reuse. There is no separate margin per asset class. Available collateral is available collateral, whether you deploy it on BTC at 10x or EUR/USD at 50x (leverage figures as of launch, September 2026; check the order ticket for current values).
Match the fee schedule to your holding period
Costs differ enough across classes that they should shape your routine:
- Commissions per fill: crypto 0.03%, forex 0.0025%, stocks/commodities/indices 0.005%. Entry and exit are both charged; a $10,000 crypto round trip costs $6 total.
- Hourly swap fees, paid by longs and shorts: crypto 0.03% per day, forex 0.005% per day, stocks/indices/commodities 0.015% per day, charged on notional at mark price in 24 hourly slices.
Two takeaways. First, forex is dramatically cheaper to hold: at 0.005% per day, a multi-day swing position in EUR/USD carries a fraction of the holding cost of the same notional in BTC at 0.03% per day. Second, crypto's 0.03% per day swap makes it the most expensive class to hold passively, which argues for shorter holding periods or tighter session-based trading in crypto, and longer horizons in forex. The full schedule is broken down in myfundedperps-fees-breakdown.
Respect the exposure caps before you size
Every market has an exposure cap: the maximum combined open notional, long plus short, that your own accounts of the same challenge product and account size may hold on that market at once. An order that would exceed the cap is rejected; reducing is always allowed. Headline caps as of launch day, September 2026 (they may have changed since):
- BTC and ETH: $1,000,000 caps at 10x leverage
- SOL, BNB, XRP: 8x with $250,000 caps
- Forex (EUR/USD, USD/JPY): 50x with $1,000,000 caps
- SP500 and NAS100: 12x with $1,000,000 caps
- Stocks: 5x, mostly $1,000,000 caps
- Gold and silver: 8x with $1,000,000 caps
- Most alt and meme coins: 3x with caps from $50,000 to $250,000
If you run multiple challenge accounts, remember that longs and shorts add together toward the cap; hedging across your own accounts does not free capacity, and cross-account hedging is prohibited anyway. Capacity freed by a reduction becomes available at the next exposure refresh, about 10 seconds later.
A sample weekly routine across five classes
There is no single right structure, but this template works within the rules:
- Asia and early Europe: forex first. EUR/USD and USD/JPY trade around the clock on Lighter, and the 0.005% daily swap is forgiving if a position runs. Crypto majors are also live if a setup is clean.
- New York morning: indices and stocks. SP500 and NAS100 at 12x (at launch) are where most index traders will spend their risk. Keep the news calendar open: on funded accounts, red-folder events carry a restricted window, so plan entries well before releases. Evaluations are unrestricted around news. Details are in myfundedperps-news-trading-rules.
- Commodities as a sleeve, not a core. Gold and silver at 8x with $1,000,000 caps (at launch) are liquid enough for real size; size them as diversification, not as a second full-risk book.
- Alts and memes last. The 3x leverage and smaller caps are the platform telling you these are satellite trades. Treat them that way.
One hard rule above all: track account equity, not per-market P/L. The 3% daily loss allowance is 3% of starting balance measured from start-of-day equity including open positions, resetting at midnight New York time. A multi-market book makes it easier to lose track of aggregate risk; the dashboard number is the only one that matters.
Frequently asked questions
Can I trade all five asset classes from one evaluation account?
Yes. A single MyFundedPerps account can trade any of the 130 launch markets across crypto, stocks, indices, forex, and commodities, subject to each market's leverage, exposure cap, and your available collateral. There are no per-class account requirements.
Which asset class is cheapest to trade?
Forex by a wide margin on holding cost: 0.0025% commission per fill and a 0.005% daily swap, versus 0.03% commission and 0.03% daily swap on crypto. Stocks, indices, and commodities sit between at 0.005% commission and 0.015% daily swap.
Do stock and index perpetuals trade 24/7?
No. Crypto trades around the clock, and the initial forex pairs run around the clock on Lighter subject to venue availability. Stocks, indices, and commodities can have scheduled market closures, and hourly swap charges continue through closures using the latest valid closing mark.
Can I hedge a crypto long with a stock short in the same account?
Within one account you can hold any combination of positions the caps and collateral allow. What is prohibited is cross-account hedging: offsetting positions across multiple accounts to neutralize risk. Correlated hedges inside a single account still carry full fees and full risk-rule exposure.
Where do I check current leverage for a market?
The order ticket shows the leverage available for the selected market, and the full cap table lives at myfundedperpetuals.com/exposure-caps. Figures quoted in this article are as of launch day, September 2026, and may have changed since.
