MyFundedPerps Select Plan Deep-Dive: 9% Target, 3% Static Drawdown, Who It Suits

About This Blog

The MyFundedPerps Select plan is the tightest and cheapest of the three 1-step evaluations: a 9% profit target, a 3% static maximum drawdown, and a 3% daily loss limit, with no time limit, no minimum trading days, and no consistency rule. This deep-dive covers every verified number on the plan, how the drawdown behaves before and after your first payout, what it costs at each size, and which traders it actually suits. All figures come from the official docs at docs.myfundedperpetuals.com and the site FAQ.

For the cross-plan comparison, see myfundedperps-pricing-plans; this article is the Select-specific reference.

MyFundedPerps Select plan rules at a glance

All rule percentages are based on the starting balance, never current equity. The profit target is measured on realized balance, so open profit does not pass you. Loss rules are measured on equity, including open-position P/L. On a $100K Select account, you pass at $109,000 realized, the daily allowance is $3,000 from start-of-day equity, and the initial max loss floor is $97,000.

How the 3% static drawdown works

The maximum loss limit (MLL) is static: starting balance minus the 3% drawdown allowance, and it never trails your profit highs. Grow a $100K Select account to $110,000 and the floor stays at $97,000 until your first funded withdrawal. On that first withdrawal, the MLL locks permanently to the starting balance, $100,000 in this example, forever. Equity exactly at the locked floor is allowed; $99,999 breaches.

Anything left above the starting balance after a withdrawal becomes your drawdown buffer. Requesting the maximum leaves a $0 buffer and closes the account, so the smart play is to leave room. The mechanics, with worked examples, are in myfundedperps-static-drawdown.

Daily loss mechanics

The daily loss allowance is 3% of the starting balance, measured from start-of-day equity including open P/L. On a $100K account that is $3,000 per day: if start-of-day equity is $102,000, that day's floor is $99,000. The trading day resets at midnight New York time (04:00 UTC in EDT, 05:00 UTC in EST, following DST). Touching the floor is a breach on the daily rule, and a new day never reopens a failed account or resets the max loss floor.

One Select-specific caution: the 3% static drawdown and the 3% daily loss are the same size. Early in the account, one full daily-loss breach is also very close to the max loss floor. There is no room for a second bad day until you build profit above the starting balance.

Pricing

List prices for the Select evaluation (verified against client screenshots and docs, September 2026; check the challenge selector for current pricing):

The 90/10 profit split upgrade is a 20% price add-on available only at checkout; it cannot be added later. Fees buy evaluation access; they are not trading deposits. The refund policy allows a request within 48 hours of purchase only with zero trading activity, minus a non-refundable $25 fee. Full fee context, including commissions and swap fees that apply while trading, is in myfundedperps-fees-breakdown.

Trading costs that eat your 3%

Commissions are charged per fill, entry and exit: 0.03% on crypto, 0.0025% on forex, 0.005% on stocks, commodities, and indices. A $10,000 crypto round trip costs $6. Hourly swap fees apply to both longs and shorts (crypto 0.03% daily, split into 24 hourly charges). Both debit your balance and reduce loss-rule headroom exactly like a realized loss. On a plan where the total drawdown is 3%, these frictions matter more than on Prime or Signature.

Who the MyFundedPerps Select plan suits

Select fits traders who:

  • Trade tight, high-selectivity systems with small stop distances, where a 3% total drawdown is workable
  • Want the lowest entry price in the lineup and accept the thin risk budget as the trade-off
  • Prefer a modest 9% target over the higher 12% target on Prime
  • Are comfortable that the drawdown equals the daily loss limit, leaving zero tolerance for back-to-back max-loss days

It is a poor fit for swing traders holding through volatile overnight sessions, strategies with wide stops, or anyone whose edge needs room for a 4-5% drawdown stretch. Those traders should read the Prime and Signature deep-dives before choosing. Whichever plan you pick, market exposure caps and leverage figures (BTC and ETH 10x with $1,000,000 caps at launch, most altcoins 3x, forex 50x) apply as of September 2026 and may have changed since; the live list is at myfundedperpetuals.com/exposure-caps, and myfundedperps-markets-guide covers the 130 launch markets.

Passing and getting funded on Select

Hit 9% realized without breaching either loss rule and the account is marked Passed. The funding path is identity verification through Sumsub (reusable across accounts), then the customer agreement, then the funded account. Funded allocation caps are $300K total and $100K per model, so Select accounts count against the Select allowance; exceeding a limit sends the passed account to Funding Review. Funded rules stay in force: the 3% daily loss and static MLL continue, news restrictions apply around red-folder events, and the 7-day inactivity rule requires at least one trade per week. Payouts opened September 11, 2026, with a $100 gross minimum ($80 net at 80/20, $90 at 90/10), one request per New York calendar day, paid via Rise after manual review. Details are in myfundedperps-payouts-guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Select 3% drawdown trailing or static?

Static. The max loss floor is the starting balance minus 3% and never follows profit highs. On the first funded withdrawal it locks permanently to the starting balance, and later withdrawals never move it.

How much do I need to make to pass a $100K Select account?

A 9% realized profit target means $9,000, so $109,000 in realized balance. Open profit does not count toward the target until positions are closed, and you must stay inside both loss rules the whole way.

Can I add the 90% profit split later?

No. The 90/10 upgrade is a checkout-only add-on priced at 20% of the plan fee. It cannot be added to an existing account, so decide before you pay.

What happens if I breach the daily loss limit?

The account fails, positions close, and outstanding orders cancel. A new day does not reopen a failed account. Because Select's daily loss and max drawdown are both 3%, a full daily breach early on leaves almost no drawdown room.

Does Select have a time limit or consistency rule?

No. Like all MyFundedPerps plans, Select has no evaluation time limit, no minimum trading days, and no consistency rule. The only evaluation inactivity rule is one executed trade per 30 consecutive calendar days.
